Agroknow will participate at the 13th International Symposium on Environmental Software Systems which is an important part of Wageningen Data Science Week and will present the work done in the scientific magazine by the title "Environmental software systems, Data Science in Action". The name of the paper is "Machine Learning Algorithms for Food Intelligence: Towards a Method for More Accurate Predictions".

The Wageningen Data Science Week will be held from February 3-7 2020 at Wageningen University and Research, Wageningen, the Netherlands.

During this week, attention will be given to requirements and potential of advanced applications of data science in environmental science. Education, Data management, Infrastructure, and Value creation will be discussed and investigated in inspiring crash courses, a hackathon, workshops, a movie, and interactive meetups.

The 13th International Symposium on Environmental Software Systems (February 5–7 2020) with its theme ‘Data Science in Action’  (http://www.isess.net/), aiming to serve as a forum to present primary research related to data-driven methods but also to include broader applications from the green life sciences.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

OUR COMMUNITIES

The selected AGINFRA+ Use Cases will illustrate the benefits of applying the Science as a Service approach to pressing research questions from the corresponding research communities.

AGROCLIMATIC AND ECONOMIC MODELLING

This community focuses on use cases aim to support the workflow of researchers, intermediaries and business analysts working on crop modelling, crop phenology estimation and yield forecasting, as well as related activities in the area of policy and decision support in food security, farm management advice and related activities.

FOOD SECURITY

This community focuses on use cases related to the high-throughput phenotyping large amount of data which need to be analyzed immediately for decision making. This aims to support phenomics researchers to select plant species and varieties which are the most adapted to specific environments and to global changes.
